Third grade has Native American Day

By: Shelby Dollar, PCA Junior

On Thursday, November 21st, Pinewood’s third grade class held Native American day. The students learned about Native American history and their importance in helping the first settlers survive. The students were assigned a specific tribe to research and used this information to teach the class about the culture and customs of the tribe. Students also built a model house to look like a home their tribe would have lived in and dressed in traditional Native American clothing, some complete with headdresses. For the third graders, this day was a day full of learning and fun.
