Pinewood varsity cheerleading attends GISA state competition

On Saturday, November 23rd, the Pinewood varsity cheerleading squad attended the GISA state cheerleading competition in Americus, Georgia. The competition was held at Georgia Southwestern University. Pinewood varsity competed against John Milledge Academy, Bulloch Academy, Bethlehem Christian, Gatewood, Trinity Christian, Robert Toombs Christian Academy, Briarwood Academy, Brentwood Academy, and St. Andrews. Varsity had four girls who received the All-State award. All-State cheerleading tryouts were held at GISA Cheer Day at the beginning of the season. Madeline Deal, Kendalyn Spacek, Carson Rountree and Sarah Jane Collins were each named All-State cheerleaders for the 2019 competition season.
