Mrs. Miller’s Honors English class creates alchemy boxes

By: Gracie Hodges, PCA junior

Mrs. Miller’s 2019-2020 Honors English class was assigned a project in which they must create a box filled with objects meant to represent certain events in William Shakespeare’s famous play, Julius Caesar. Each student was required to decorate the exterior of the box, each side with a different word, representing the many different themes of the Roman tale. They also included ten of their favorite quotes from the play on paper. They then bring them to class and present them, explaining the symbolism of each item inside and the words on the sides of the box as they relate to the characters within the play. The project helps students better understand the story and also adds in an element of fun and creativity!
