PCA’s 5th and 6th graders present Christmas Around the World projects

By: Gracie Hodges, PCA junior

Each year, Mrs. Lindsey Blocker’s 5th grade world history students prepare a special project for the Christmas season. Each student chooses a country and creates a presentation based on their country’s Christmas traditions. The project teaches the students about the different cultures and holiday celebrations that occur throughout the world. The students bring several different things to add to their presentation such as artifacts, collages, and even a traditional Christmas dish from their country! The presentations also include details sharing what each country calls Santa Claus, how they decorate, and what sort of holiday songs they sing. Afterwards, the students enjoy a delicious conclusion: they all share the foods they brought!
