PCA vs EBA
February 7, the Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) Patriots hosted their final home game of the season. The mighty Patriots battled against the Edmund Burke Academy (EBA) Spartans for their “Senior Night”. The Varsity Boys dominated with a 16 point lead, having a final score of 51-35. All five of PCA’s senior players, Parks Hagan, Kaleb Shuman, Kort Kennedy, Cameron Dutton, and Wes Purcell, were starters for the game. P. Hagan had the most points of the game for the Patriots with a total of 14 points. Jeffrey Young had 10 points. K. Shuman had 8 points. Ethan Duckworth 8, K. Kennedy 7, C. Dutton 2, and W. Purcell 2.

The B-Team boys also went head-to-head with the Spartans. For their final game of the season, the Patriots tied with the Spartans with a score of 25-25. Logan Lewis had the team’s most points with a total of 7 points. Lake Dasher had 4 points, David Friedburg had 4, Caleb Conley 3, Trey Kennedy 3, Mason Freeman 2, and John Marshall Headrick 2.

Between the Girl’s Varsity game and the Boy’s Varsity game, the senior athletes for winter sports were recognized on the court.
From the Girl’s Basketball team, Abigail Bland, escorted by her parents, and Aubrey Raye Sheffield, escorted by her parents, were called to the floor. In honor of Peyton Ramona Randall, a flower was given to her mother, Kristy Randall, by Abigail and Aubrey Raye.
From the Boy’s Basketball team, Cameron Dutton, escorted by his parents, Parks Hagan, escorted by his parents, Kort Kennedy, escorted by his parents, Kaleb Shuman, escorted by his parents, and Wes Purcell, escorted with his parents, were recognized on the court.
From the cheerleading squad, Grainger Ballard, escorted by his dad and sister, Emma Dasher, escorted by her parents, Connor Davis, escorted by her mom, Kaitlin Durrence, escorted by her parents, RayeAnna Strickland, escorted by her parents, and Emily Threlkeld, escorted by her parents, were also recognized on the court.
