Mr. Porter was one of 10 Participants who visited Plymouth Plantation, Wampanoag Home site, The Freedom Trail, The U.S.S. The Fall Field Seminar allows teachers to explore in depth the people and ideas mapped with the Cultural Approach framework at historic sites helping to illuminate the subject. Teachers learn about American history by reading the primary sources, and discussing them in historic locations.

Participation is based on a competitive application process. Participating teachers learn about American history along with the Cultural Approach framework by reading a set of primary source documents, visiting relevant historic sites, and engaging in discussions with colleagues over the course of a weekend.
