Pinewood Patriots Continue with Their Streak

Last Friday, October 9, 2015, Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) went head-to-head against the Frederica Academy Knights, and the Patriots were victorious with a score of 41-6. Cameron Dutton was fired up, for he made a tackle to start off first quarter. Pinewood was backed up 15 yards since they had an interference on the play. Blake Shuman contributed to the Patriots with an astonishing tackle. Gaining 15 yards for the Patriots, Preston Campbell carried the ball to the 50 yard line. Neither of the teams scored a touchdown for the first quarter, but Frederica broke the score from 0-0 by making the first touchdown (TD) of the game in second quarter. The kick for the Knights was not good, so the score was 6-0. Blake Shuman was also enthusiastic because he ran a 30 yard run. Preston Campbell did not fail to play hard, for he scored the first Patriot TD which tied the game. Caleb Conley kicked the extra point which broke the tie, and Pinewood took the lead by one point. The score was 7-6. Pinewood set up for their next play. Kaleb Shuman was very successful in running the ball, and he achieved the Patriot fist down. Preston Campbell, still very pumped and excited, scored the second TD for the Patriots. Once again Caleb Conley kicked the ball for the extra point, and it was good making the score14-6. Blake Shuman forced a fumble on a kickoff return. Cameron Dutton recovered the fumble from the Knights, and he ran the ball down for another Patriot TD. The extra point was kicked by Caleb Conley, and just like before it was good. Pinewood was still in the lead with the score being 21-6. Will Sheffield started third quarter off by catching the ball passed to him by Jeffrey Young, and had a yardage income of 40 yards. Preston Campbell had a fabulous run for 15 yards. Cameron Dutton achieved his second TD for the game, and Caleb Conley kicked the ball successfully through the uprights. The score became 28-6. Parks Hagan and Conner Kennedy had strong tackles for the Patriots. Jeffrey Young gained the first down for the Patriots with a splendid run. John Michael Thompson obtained a 35 yard Patriot TD as a result of Jeffrey Young’s smooth passing capabilities. The kick unfortunately was blocked by the Frederica Knights, so the score was 34-6. Kaleb Shuman ran a punt back for 25 yards on a handoff from John Michael Thompson. Preston Campbell scored Pinewood’s sixth and final TD. The kick by Caleb Conley was good, so the score was 41-6. Noah Calloway, Quincy Tanner, and Garlon Rogers kept pressure on the quarter back throughout the game. Will Sheffield and Matthew Floyd did an excellent job maintaining the offense from gaining many yards. Jeffrey Young did an exceptional job with passing and running the ball throughout the game. Preston Campbell had many boss runs multiple times by bulldozing over several Frederica defenders. Big shoutout to the offensive line for many consistent blocking. These include Matthew Floyd, Quincy Tanner, Logan Williams, Conner Kennedy. During fourth quarter, Jake Woolard had an outstanding run for a yardage gain of 50 yards. Being stopped right at the goal line, Jake Woolard had his second run for an increase of 20 yards. The Patriots were backed up 5 yards for a penalty, and then PCA watched the clock run out for their eighth win of the season.
