Pinewood’s K-5 classes recently went on a field trip to the Claxton First Church pumpkin patch. They had a fun filled day and got to do many activities.  While there, they learned about the various types of pumpkins and made pumpkin crafts.  As part of a pumpkin themed devotion about how we should let the light Jesus shine through us.  There was also a magic show and Pastor Mike Lyons read a holiday pumpkin story to the children.  At the end of the trip, they each picked out a pumpkin of their own to take home and decorate.
