Pinewood Class of 2019 honored at Senior Chapel

By: Abigail Tucker, PCA Senior

Pinewood Christian Academy celebrated their last chapel service of the year by honoring the graduating class of 2019. Seniors attended the service decked out in t-shirts and painted skirts to represent the schools they will be attending in the fall. Friends and family gathered together in the Eddie Durrence Gymnasium to witness the sentimental service for the seniors as they began to say goodbye to Pinewood.

The service began with a devotion read by senior chaplain Luke Shuman. Shuman spoke of carrying every lesson learned at Pinewood into the future. The class was reminded how fortunate they were to be able to learn and grow in such a family oriented environment. Tinsley McCall, Meghan Boatright, Anna Scott, and Elizabeth McCooey then delivered heartfelt senior wills to their family and friends to reminisce on their time at Pinewood. The chapel service concluded with a senior video recounting the class of 2019’s final year of high school.

Pinewood’s seniors will graduate at 4:00pm on Sunday, May 19th in the Eddie Durrence Gymnasium.
