December 19, 2016, Pinewood Christian Academy’s first grade students performed the play, “A Tale of Three Trees”.  In their play, the children shared the story of these three trees and their different dreams.

The first tree wished to be a treasure chest and in the end, the tree became a manger for baby Jesus. The second tree wished to be a ship to transport important people to and from different places.  In the end, the tree was turned into the boat for Jesus’ disciples. The final tree only wanted to remain on the hillside standing tall to point to the Heavens reminding all people of God.  In the end, the tree became the wood used for the cross and became the most important symbol of God’s love for us.

The children closed the play by singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

Pinewood first grade students have put on this play for over fifteen years.  It teaches the children that no matter what they wish to become, what God has planned for them is better than they could ever think possible.
