PCA’s first grade takes annual field trip to Poppell Farms

By: Gracie Hodges, PCA junior

On October 18th, Mrs. Tena Bell and Mrs. Mychelle Haddon’s first grade students took their annual trip to Poppell Farms in Odum, Georgia. The students enjoyed a hayride to the pumpkin patch where they picked out their favorite pumpkin to take home and decorate. Afterwards, they fed the farm animals at the petting zoo which included goats, ducks, bunnies, horses, a donkey named Elvis, and a llama named Charlie! The students also navigated a corn maze and played on Farmer Brown’s Playground. Piper Smith commented, “My favorite part of the trip was the trampoline, because it was like a big mountain!” A trip to the farm was a perfect way to start the autumn season!
