PCA 3rd graders slither into the world of reptiles
By: Gracie Hodges, PCA junior
Mrs. Crystal DeLoach’s 3rd graders at Pinewood had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some very unique members of the animal kingdom! The students were learning about what makes an animal a vertebrate and how they are classified. Mrs. DeLoach brought her two pet ball pythons, named Sylvester and Tweety. The excited children were able to touch or even hold the snakes if they chose to. As a part of this wild experience, students had to name the classification of the ball python as well as the characteristics of a reptile. Handling the animals is a great way to learn more about these scaly creatures!
