Patriot SPAL Girls’ Basketball Preseason

The Pinewood SPAL girls’ basketball team kicked off their season with a game against Burke County Middle School. This year’s team is made up of seven seventh and seven eighth graders. The seventh graders are Hailey Horton, Mary Lucy Dasher, Matti Parker, Mary Chandler Long, Lilly Griffin, Kaylee Pound, and Lily Jarriel. The eighth graders are Amanda Barry, Rebekah Whiten, Sydney Jernigan, Anna Kate Dutton, Marley Dekle, Charley Holland, and Ashton Dykes.

PCA vs Burke

November 11, Pinewood Christian Academy SPAL girls’ battled against the Burke County Middle School Cubs for their first game of the preseason.

Dutton scored the highest number of points of the game for the Patriots with a total of 11 points. Jernigan scored 8 points. Barry had 2 points. Dekle had 2.

PCA vs William James

November 11, the Pinewood Christian Academy SPAL girls’ played their second game of the preseason. The Patriots battled against the William James Knights coming out on top with a final score of 30 to 21.

Dekle had the most points of the game for the Patriots with a total of 12 points. Jernigan had 6 points. Dutton had 6 points. Dykes had 4 points. Parker had 2 points.

November 13, the Pinewood Christian Academy SPAL girls’ played in the St. Peter’s tournament in Savannah against Blessed Sacrament (BSS) in the first round.

Dekle had the most points of the game for the Patriots with a total of 10 points. Jernigan had 5 points. Whiten had 4 points. Dutton had 4 points.

November 15, Pinewood Christian Academy SPAL girls’ played in the St. Peter’s tournament against St. Peter’s in the second round.
