Miss PCA Pageant Field Trip

On Friday, March 15th, the contestants in the 2019 Miss PCA pageant traveled to Statesboro for their annual field trip where they took a self-defense class at CrossFit Boro. The girls learned different techniques they can employ if ever confronted by an attacker. When the course was over, the contestants had the opportunity to dine and fellowship with each other at either McAllister’s, Shane’s Rib Shack, or Barberitos. After the meal the girls took group and individual pictures at Sweetheart Circle on Georgia Southern’s campus. This was an amazing opportunity for all of the contestants to bond and learn how to defend themselves were the situation ever to occur. “Learning self-defense skills from the instructors at Fit to Fight GA was fun and challenging for the girls. They worked hard learning the techniques. I think they gained self-confidence and an awareness in situations they may encounter.” commented pageant director, Jennifer Bradley.
