Jackson Godbee Signs to Brewton Parker College

On Wednesday, May 2nd, Pinewood Christian Academy’s Jackson Godbee signed to Brewton Parker College of Mt. Vernon, Georgia. Jackson was presented a golf scholarship by Brewton Parker’s golf coach, Frankie Ruiz.

Jackson is the son of Michael and Ashley Godbee from Manassas, Georgia, and he has played golf for 5 years. Jackson has been coached by Kevin Hill, Matt Todd, and the late Chuck Sumner. Jackson has won many awards including: Region-Runner up in 2014, 2016, and 2017, State Runner-up in 2018, 3 First Place tournament awards, and 1 second place award. Jackson’s future plans are to play college golf, earn a business degree, become PGA Pro-Certified, and to teach golf swings.

When asked about how he feels about the opportunity Brewton Parker has given him, Jackson said, “I would like to thank Brewton Parker for the opportunity and I would like to thank my parents for helping me get to this point in my life.”

Jackson’s parents shared, “We are very proud of Jackson’s hard work and are excited to see what the future holds for him in golf and his education.”

Coach Kevin Hill stated, “I am very proud of Jackson and wish him the best as he moves up to play at the collegiate level. He was a great leader for our golf team here at Pinewood.”
