5th and 6th Grade Visit the Battle of Manassas

By: Britton Waters, PCA Junior

On Friday, March 16, the fifth and sixth graders in Mrs. Lindsey Blocker’s history class at Pinewood Christian Academy visited the Battle of Bull Run reenactment camp located in Manassas, Georgia.  The students learned about the weaponry, clothing, food, and medical care commonly used in the Civil War era.  They were taught about how the war affected everyone living in this time period both directly and indirectly.  Students also explored the trails traveled by soldiers during the Battle of Bristoe Station.  Each of the students enjoyed this opportunity to see a story in their history books come to life in front of them.
