Third Grade Learns About Plants

The third grade at Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) has recently been learning about plants.  Mrs. Angela Todd and Ms. Melba Jo Hendrix visited the class and read a book to them about plants.  They also explained the importance of farmers, and all of the many jobs that they could have in the agricultural business.  To conclude the presentation, Mrs. Todd helped the students plant flowers and vegetables such as, zinnias, sunflowers, marigolds, bell pepper, corn, squash, cantaloupe, cucumbers, and peas.  The students will have the opportunity to watch their flowers and vegetables grow in class.  All of the students enjoyed this amazing hands on learning experience.
