Scientist Visits PCA Third Grade

Dr. Michele McGibony spoke to the third grade students at Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) for National Science Week on Friday October 23, 2015. Dr. McGibony is a PCA alumnus and a professor at Georgia Southern University. She conducted three experiments with the third grad-ers involving chromatography (separating chemical mixtures), markers and coffee filters, and salt. She also talked to them about mole day which is on October 23. The theme for this year’s chem-istry week was “Chemistry colors our world.”
