Pinewood’s Shooting Team Advances to State

This year, Pinewood Christian Academy’s (PCA) Shooting Team has had a memorable first year experience. The team, placing 14th out of 17 teams at state, has worked very hard this year for what they have earned. After they came back from State, the Shooting Team held an awards ceremony on Monday, December 7th. Preston Kight was awarded Top Skeet and Top Trap; Sam Glisson was awarded Top Sporting Clays; and Lance Durrence was awarded Top Gun. Congratulations to the PCA Shooting Team.

The Shooting Team and Coaches would also like to express their gratitude to Mr. Jimmy Sands. Because of Mr. Sands’ generous contribution, the Shooting Team was able to purchase equipment, materials, and supplies to begin the program. He has made a large impact on the Shooting Team by his overwhelming support.

PCA is excited to expand their athletic program with the Shooting Team and is looking forward to possibly adding a girls’ team next year.
