Pinewood Varsity and JV Basketball Update

Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball
teams played against the Frederica Knights at Frederica Academy on
Friday, January 29. Pinewood’s Varsity girls beat the Knights with a score of
47-41. Scorers for this game were Macy Pirkle with 13 points, Carleigh Bell
with 12 points, Shelton Rogers with 8 points, Abi Oates with 7 points, Tarah
Thompson with 3 points, Haley Thompson with 2 points, and Raegan
Waters with 2 points.

The boys also played the Knights on Friday, but lost with a score of 49-57.
Scorers for this game were Ethan Duckworth with 14 points, Jeffery Young
with 14 points, Cameron Dutton with 9 points, John Michael Thompson
with 8 points and Kaleb Shuman with 4 points.

PCA’s Varsity girls and boys and JV girls and boys hosted Bulloch
Academy on Tuesday, February 2 for the Patriot Senior night. The 2016
senior basketball players are Emily Shiver, Tarah Thompson, Preston
Campbell, Will Sheffield, Blake Shuman, and John Michael Thompson. The
senior cheerleaders are Brayden Bland, Jena Brown, Anna Freeman, Erin
Howard, and Alexis Smith.
Pinewood’s varsity girls’ team lost to Bulloch with a score of 46-55.
Scorers for this game were Shelton Rogers with 14 points, Macy Pirkle with
10 points, Tarah Thompson with 6 points, Abigail Bland with 5 points,
Carleigh Bell with 3 points and Haley Thompson with 2 points.

The Lady Patriot’s Junior Varsity girls play Bulloch and came out with 25-21 win.
