Pinewood students send Thanksgiving cards to local nursing homes

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and show your gratitude. In order to teach the students this, Mrs. April Barr’s 5th and 6th grade classes wrote special Thanksgiving letters to the nursing home residents at Camellia, Northspring, and Griffin House. The students write the letters each month to show the residents that they are appreciated and cared for. These letters contain a greeting, picture, Bible verse, and personal message. “We are teaching our students the importance of living out their faith by being the hands and feet of Jesus and showing His love to the community,” said Mrs. Barr.
