Pinewood Middle School Cross Country State Meet

The middle school cross country team ran their end of the season meet on October 14th at Bulloch Academy. They ran a 3K race around Bulloch’s campus. The girls’ team had one runner in the top ten. Lilly Griffin finished 4th with a time of 13:15. The girls following her were Riley Nevil 16th (14:52), Ella Johns 20th (15:12), Abi Pazderski 25th (16:05), Abi Scott 26th (16:06), Mary Lucy Dasher 28th (16:07), Emma Strickland 32nd (17:19), Jena Hales 35th (17:55), and Karry Cowart 40th (20:14). The girls’ team placed 4th in the state.
The boys’ team had two runners in the top ten. Truett Rountree came in 8th with a time of 12:20, and Jax Lewis came in 10th with a time of 12:31. The runners following them were Luke Scott 12th (12:40), Camden Johns 16th (12:53), Brandon Manville 27th (14:56), Joseph Eason 28th (14:57), and Smith Dekle 33rd (18:04). The boys’ team placed 3rd in the state.
