Students and faculty at Pinewood Christian Academy recently took part in the Evans County Red Ribbon Week festivities. To kick off the fun filled week, Pinewood Interact, Beta, and Student Council officers traveled to the Evans County Fire Department and listened as Police Chief Edward Olgesbee delivered a speech that encouraged students and citizens to remain drug free.

On Monday, PCA students “shaded out drugs” by wearing their sunglasses to school. The students “put a cap on drugs” by wearing their favorite hats to school on Tuesday. “I can, you can, we can say no to drugs” was the theme for Wednesday. Cans were brought in to school and were donated to the Claxton Food Bank. On Thursday, faculty and students “socked it to drugs” by wearing their favorite crazy socks. To conclude the week, Pinewood students were “jean-iuses” for being drug free by dressing in jeans and a red shirt, rather than their school uniform. Each day reminded Pinewood students of the importance of staying drug free.
