PCA vs. Brookwood
On February 15, Pinewood’s varsity basketball girls beat the Brookwood School Warriors 49-36. This win means the Pinewood Patriots will advance to the final four for the third consecutive year.
Abi Oates led scoring with 22 total points. She had this to say about the season so far, “I am so proud of my team. We have overcome difficulties and trials to get to this point. At the beginning of the year, we had a lot of people doubting us because we graduated seven seniors, but we have proven them wrong and made it to the Final Four! I am so blessed to have made it this far with my teammates and coaches. All glory goes to God!!”
Seniors Meghan Boatright scored 10 against the warriors and Jordan Jernigan followed with 9 points. Ansley Howard followed with 8.

Head Coach Elizabeth Tatum shared, “If you have followed us all year or have watched one of our games, then you can fully believe that we have made it this far. The girls have loved and supported each other all season. The care for one another is obvious through their play on the court. We are not ready to stop quite yet! We want to thank every single fan that made the trip on Friday to support us. Our girls really feed off your energy. With that being said, we NEED our Pinewood family to show up on Thursday at 6:30. The game will be at Georgia Southwestern in Americus.”
