Pinewood Hosts Annual Father Daughter Dance

By: Britton Waters, PCA Senior

On the afternoon of Sunday, April 14th, Pinewood Christian Academy hosted its annual Father Daughter Dance for girls in grades K-3 through 6th who were escorted by their fathers. This event was sponsored by the PCA League, and it was held in the Randy Roderick Gymnasium which was decorated as a winter wonderland from the prom held on the previous day. “The girls always look forward to this day every year, as it has become a tradition. I think it is a great way to utilize the beautiful prom decorations as well as raise money for the league. My girls absolutely love it, and it is a special time that we will always remember,” commented Timmy Waters.

Guests enjoyed light refreshments, drinks, and dancing. There was a photo booth there so the girls could commemorate this memorable night of dressing up, having fun with their friends, and dancing with their fathers. Hadden Waters shared, “My favorite part is picking out a dress and wearing it for Daddy. I love dancing with my friends and especially with Daddy. He gets in the middle of all of us and makes us laugh.”

Her twin, Kamryn, also commented “My mom always does my makeup and fixes my hair. I love dressing up for Daddy, and he always makes me feel pretty.”
