Pinewood First Grade Participates In Indian Day

Pinewood Christian Academy’s first grade participated in their annual Indian day to conclude their unit on Pilgrims, Indians, and Thanksgiving. In spirit of the Native American culture, students dressed up and participated in activities that thought them the ways in which the Indians lived. Each first grader was assigned an “Indian name” and was responsible for drawing a picture that depicted that name. Students enjoyed learning the ways of the Indians and the part they played in celebrating the first Thanksgiving.
