Pinewood Christian Academy Junior Beta Club Members Participate in State Competition

       Pinewood Christian Academy’s Junior Beta members are celebrating their recent participation in the Georgia Junior Beta State Convention in Savannah on December 2nd and 3rd. They were announced as winners of the following competitions: 1st place finishes: Apparel Design-Shelby Croft and 2-D Design/Club Banner-Hadden and Kamryn Waters.  3rd place finishes: Book Battle-Shelby Croft, Addison Swindell, and Erica Wasson and 8th grade social studies-Haleigh McWilliams.  4th place finishes: Black & White Photography-Anna Kate Croft.  5th place finishes: Fiber Arts-Abigail Long.  Lily Grace Freeman and Jorja Cowart were named Premier Performers for their tap dance and received an invitation to dance in the opening number at National Convention.

       National Beta State Conventions bring together students from across the state to compete in a variety of competitions ranging from academic and STEM-based to visual and performing arts. Their victories at the state level provide the opportunity to compete at the national level. National Convention will be held in Nashville, TN during summer 2021.

Junior Beta sponsors Missi Elrod and Lauren Bluestein are extremely proud of all of the PCA JR Beta members who competed.  PCA’s Junior Beta includes sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.  The club began at PCA in 2015.
