Pinewood Cheerleaders attend FCA Cheer Camp
Pinewood Christian Academy’s varsity cheerleading squad had the privilege to attend FCA camp on the Georgia Southern campus. Throughout the four day camp, the team was given a Bible. They each participated in group devotions and team building exercises. The cheerleaders also learned cheers and perfected their choreography and stunts.
The cheer team earned the Eagle Award for being the squad that best represented FCA’s 4 core values: integrity, serving, teamwork, and excellence. The squad also won the best cheer award.
Individual cheerleaders were given an opportunity to earn individual awards based on jumps and cheers. Carson Roundtree, Tinsley McCall, Braliee Jones, Peighton Brown, and Madeline Deal each received an All-American award.
The Heart of the Athlete award went to Tinsley McCall, and Peighton Brown was invited to be on staff at the 2018 cheer camp. It was a great learning and bonding experience and a lot of fun for the Pinewood Christian Academy cheer squad to attend this camp.
