Pinewood Basketball Program

Pinewood Christian Academy’s students have an opportunity to participate in the PCA basketball program on multiple levels. Boys and girls can begin playing the sport in fifth grade. The students must complete several days of tryouts in order to be placed on a team. PCA girls and boys have traditionally participated in the Savannah Parochial Athletic League (SPAL). This year, there were so many fifth and sixth grade boys who tried out, that PCA created an intramural league (the Green and White league) which competed on campus early in the season while the others participated in the SPAL games. Seventh and eighth grade girls and boys who make up the Middle School teams, have the opportunity to play in SPAL as well. Ninth through twelfth grade boys and girls have the opportunity to earn a position on the PCA JV teams and/or on the varsity teams which compete in the GISA league AAA division. PCA appreciates the support the community has shown to the athletic department and look forward to many exciting games to come!
