Pinewood 6th graders complete Vision Board Projects

By: Abigail Tucker, PCA Senior

The Pinewood 6th grade classes completed their vison board projects after reading Grace, Gold, and Glory by Gabby Douglas. Reading this book, students gained an understanding of setting goals and achieving those goals through hard work and determination. To wrap up their studies, students were challenged with the task of envisioning their dream life and putting those dreams onto a poster using pictures, words, and their imaginations. Each vison board represented ideas the students saw in their futures such as: emotions, relationships, lifestyle, education, and recreational activities. When the projects were finished, they were presented in front of the class where students had the opportunity to share their dreams with those around them. Each project reflected the student, and many came up with very unique goals to achieve one day.
