Pinewood Christian Academy’s 2017-2018 Council has been decided. The council consists of  seniors: Emily Griffin, James Kicklighter, Sheldon Weed and Milligan Williams, juniors: Meghan Boatright, Bailey Oliver and Chap Shuman, sophomores; Annabelle Brannen, Ashton Shuman, and Preston Waters,  freshmen: Ella Anderson, Jonah Rogers, and Carson Roundtree, eighth-graders: Julie Collins and Gabriel Edwards, and seventh-graders: Smith Dekle, and Julia Hethcox. The school counselor, Lou Ann Farrow, is the sponsor for this group.

Student Council was created to serve as a liaison between the student body and school administration. The council encourages student participation in school leadership and provides opportunities to prepare and empower student leaders to serve their schools and communities. The council sponsors projects such as Red Ribbon Week and the American Red Cross. They also participate in several fundraising events to help local charities such as Evans County C.A.R.E.S., the Ronald McDonald House and the Tab Smith Ministries’ Navajo Indian Mission Project. The council also mentors new PCA students and welcomes new staff members each year.
