PCA Overpowers FPCA with a Score of 55-6
On Friday, September 19, Pinewood went head-to-head against First Presbyterian Christian Academy, and the Patriots were victorious. John Michael Thompson lead the way with the first touchdown for the Patriots on 40 yard punt return and the extra point was good, so the score was 7-0. Kaleb Shuman made the second Patriot touchdown, and Blake Shuman had intercepted the ball for another Patriot touchdown making the score 21-0. Preston Campbell had a rushing touchdown for the Patriots, and Kaleb Shuman had another touchdown for Pinewood which made the score 28-0. Connor Kennedy had an outstanding sack in the back field for a loss of yards. Pinewood was on the forty-five yard line for a turnover on downs. First Presbyterian Christian Academy (FPCA) had a fumble on the play, and Preston Campbell and Kaleb Shuman both had amazing runs. Ford Thompson had an interception for the Patriots. Kaleb Shuman had a wonderful 35 yard run to the eight yard line. Punching it in for a touchdown, Kaleb Shuman made Pinewood’s sixth touchdown which made the score 35-0. Preston Campbell drove it all the way to the five yard line for the Patriots. FPCA had a 40 yard pass reception, but they were called back because of holding. Garlon Rogers made an outstanding touchdown for Pinewood with a ten yard run. Blake Shuman had his second interception for a touchdown. The score for the first half of the game was 48-0. Collin Woolard made another Patriot touchdown. Unfortunately, the extra point was blocked, so the score was 55-0. Garlon Rogers had a fabulous fifty-five yard run. Ford Thompson achieved first and goal for the Patriots. Chap Shuman had several good tackles. Come join the Patriots for their next game on Friday, September 25.
