PCA Wins Region Literary

Pinewood’s Literary team competed in their region literary competition held at the Averitt Center for the Arts in Statesboro, Georgia, on March 2, and came home with first place! At literary, students compete in writing, acting, singing, speaking, and spelling, and those who placed first or second will advance to the state competition at Valdosta State University on March 15, 2017.

Miranda Deloach won first place in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, and Connor O’Sullivan won first place in International Extemporaneous Speaking. Miranda also received first place in Personal Essay; Madeline Thompson won second place in Rhetorical Essay; and Anna Scott placed third in Argumentative Essay. Joshua Murray received second place in Boys’ Solo, Milligan Williams won first place Girls’ Solo, and our Girls’ Trio placed second. Emma Waters won second place in Humorous Oral Interpretation, and Britton Waters received fourth place in spelling. Congratulations to our literary champs!
