PCA Inducts New Members to the 1160 Club

Pinewood Christian Academy held their annual 1160 Club induction on February 5th. Family and friends gathered in the Eddie Durrence Gymnasium to celebrate these students’ academic achievements. High school students inducted in this prestigious club must have a combined Math and Reading score on the SAT of 1160 in one sitting or a 24 composite score on the ACT.
There are 10 new members who have joined the 15 prior members. The new inductees included: seniors Annie Glisson and Emily Thompson; juniors Benjamin Bradley, Colt Bragg, Orion Coughlin, Forrest Johns, Matalie Miles, Carson Rountree, Emmi Stone; and sophomore Shannon Potts. Shannon Potts, PCA’s youngest inductee of the year shared. “As the only sophomore being inducted into this elite club, I feel a great honor as this has been a goal of mine for many years.”
After the induction, the 1160 Club was treated to lunch at Olive Garden in Statesboro to celebrate their accomplishments. Pinewood is proud of the academic achievements of these students.
