PCA Home Ec hosts Honor Society Reception
By: Michala Hobbs, PCA Senior
The home economics classes of Pinewood Christian Academy hosted a reception for the Junior and Senior inductees of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Porter’s first through fourth period classes prepared cream cheese pound cake and punch for the event. Her third period class served the Honor Society inductees and guests their refreshments. The inductees enjoyed the reception and had a good time relishing in their accomplishments. “Being able to cater to these exemplary students was quite the opportunity,” says Leah Deal, third period Home Ec. student, “Not only did we serve them, but we also were able to celebrate alongside them which made sharing our cooking all the more worthwhile.”
