PCA Competes in Junior Beta Convention
By: Matalie Miles, PCA Senior
National Beta Club has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization with more than 500,000 active members. This club promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. Pinewood Christian Academy’s Junior Beta club currently has 97 members throughout the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. National Beta members from PCA are celebrating their recent participation in the Georgia Junior Beta Virtua State Convention. This typically in-person convention was adapted due to coronavirus concerns. Members took online tests and prepared competition submissions, and many were rewarded for their efforts and will provide them the opportunity to compete at the national level at the Swan and Dolphin resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida during summer 2021.
