Mrs. Angie Miller’s 10th grade class, read and learned about the famous play, Julius Caesar, written by William Shakespeare. To go along with this unit, Mrs. Miller assigned her students a project in which they were to complete an Alchemy box. They were encouraged to think outside the box and be as creative as possible.  The outside of the box was to be decorated verbally and graphically with four themes the students thought went along with the play. The inside of the box was to be filled with 14 items that represented the characters, setting, mood, atmosphere, and plot of the play. Along with their box, students were required to turn in four character sketches that gave a short overview of four of the characters they thought were most important and a paper describing the items the students put in their box.  The students had a lot of fun explaining and presenting their boxes during class.
