Meghan Boatright Receives Wendy’s High School Heisman Award

PCA senior Meghan Boatright, daughter of David and Alison Boatright of Bellville, was recently announced as a school winner of the Wendy’s High School Heisman award. Out of 42,000 senior athletes that applied, Meghan was one of the 7,500 selected as a recipient.

Meghan has participated in varsity girls basketball for all four years of her high school career and is a part of the 2018 GISA 2AAA State Championship girls team. She also competes with the varsity track and field team and is the GISA 2AAA State Champion in discus.

To qualify for Wendy’s High School Heisman, students must be a member of the graduating class of 2019, have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0, participate in at least one of the 47 sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee and/or the National Federation of State High School Association, and be a leader in his/her community.

In response to Meghan receiving this award, she states, “As an athlete, it is an honor to be the school winner of the Wendy Heisman award. All glory goes to God!”
