By: Erin Horton, PCA junior

PCA junior Irene Lee, scored a perfect score on the chemistry and math level two SAT. She decided to take the SAT add-on to show her interest and strength in the field. When asked how it benefited her taking the test, she replied, “When I apply to college, I would have some advantage over others since the test proves my aptitude.” “I am very proud of myself and feel that it reflects all my efforts I put into preparing for the test,” she shared about having made a perfect score on her test. She said one thing she learned from this experience is that hard work pays off.

Lee’s plans to major in computer science led her to the decision to take the level two SAT. Lee encourages others to take SAT subject tests as she explains, “Normal SAT is not an accurate representation of an individual since it only focuses on two areas, English and math. Moreover, even these two parts of the test do not handle profound knowledge such as advanced math skills and sophisticated English literature. Therefore, in order to show one’s exceptional strength in a field, taking a SAT subject test is recommended. SAT two tests not only prove one’s aptitude, but also help one further utilize their knowledge while preparing for the test.”
