Kicklighter and Lee to represent Pinewood Christian Academy in Governor’s Honors Program

James Kicklighter and Irene Lee have been selected to advance to the interview round of the Governor’s Honors Program. The Governor’s Honors Program is a residential summer program for gifted and talented rising high school seniors and juniors. High school students everywhere are nominated to have the chance of spending about a month on a college campus to study more about the subject of their choice. Students write an essay on their subject and submit them to be evaluated. After that, some students are chosen to advance to the interview round.

Kicklighter’s subject of choice is Latin, and Lee’s choice is mathematics. When asked about the interview, Kicklighter replied,”I am honored to be chosen to participate in the second phase of the program. I will do my best to make it to the next phase of the program.”  These students will be interviewed at Berry College in Rome, Georgia later this month. We are very proud of these students and wish them the best of luck in their interviews!
