Flu Vaccine

By:  Rebekah Cousson, Senior

On October 20th, free vaccines were given to the staff at PCA courtesy of Dr. Thomas Miller. The nurse giving the vaccines was Kiley Hall, an alumni of PCA. The vaccine creates antibodies that fight off the virus when the body is exposed to it. She says you should receive this shot at least once a year to stay safe during flu season.

Hall spent three years in college before she earned her LPN from South Eastern Technical College. She has been coming to the school to give the vaccines for the last two years. She says she loves the chance to see old faces from when she went to school here.

Staff members at PCA are grateful for Dr. Miller and his staff’s care in providing an opportunity to them stay well during this year’s flu season.
