Evans County’s Jr. Chamber Board Celebrates the Season

The Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, including several PCA students, participated in Christmas in Claxton’s Parade of Lights. Started in 2005, “The Junior Board of Directors participates in community activities throughout the year and receives leadership development training and hands-on experience dealing with issues and challenges that face our community.” Members are nominated and selected by application, and the board is led by the executive director of the Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce, Tammi Rogers Hall.

For this year’s parade, the students put their heads together and worked to recreate the Polar Express! They built and decorated the train with festive lights, tinsel, and snow, and the riders and walkers wore their Christmas pajamas. The parade was a huge hit, and Junior Board was awarded second place for their hard work! This is a great example of how strong leadership, innovative creativity, and excellent effort are the perfect ingredients for success.
