Anatomy Students Learn about Neurons

Mrs. Pollak’s 11th grade Anatomy students have been learning about the structure and functions of a multipolar neuron. The students were organized into groups where they had to created a 3-D model of a neuron.  The lab enabled students to visually see where each part of a neuron is located as well as how each of those parts make up the neuron as a whole. Student  constructed their neurons using a variety of materials including such things as playdough, skittles, and fishing worms. The lab was both informative and fun for Mrs. Pollak’s students.
