8th Grade Presents Life Verse Projects
Shelby Dollar, PCA Junior
On Friday September 27, 2019, Mrs. Brooke Smith’s 8th grade Bible class presented their life verse painting projects. These projects are done every year by the 8th grade class. The purpose of the project is to paint a canvas and put a Bible verse on it that is meaningful to the designer of the canvas. Mrs. Smith encouraged the students to be creative when decorating the canvas and to illustrate what the verse has taught them. On the day the canvases were due, the students presented their canvases to their Bible class and explained the symbolism behind each color and design on the artwork. “I look forward to this project every year. It’s always encouraging to learn how God’s word is taking root and being treasured in students’ lives,” commented Mrs. Smith.
