Washington Youth Tour
During the week of June 8-15, Carleigh Bell, Marley Kennedy, Timothy Johnson, and Brantley Swindell attended the Washington Youth Tour in Washington D.C. The purpose of the trip was to help empower the future leaders of America. They had the opportunity to tour places such as Arlington National Cemetery, the Kennedy Center, the Holocaust Museum, the Washington National Cathedral, the National Archives, and the Smithsonian Museums. Other places they visited include the Library of Congress, the African American Museum of History and Culture, the Lincoln Memorial, and the National Mall. They also had the chance to take pictures at the White House and pictures with senators. One night for supper they enjoyed a meal at Toby’s Dinner Theater. All of these students greatly enjoyed this trip and this amazing learning opportunity.
