Third Grade Weather Experiments
By: Britton Waters, PCA Junior
August 24, the third grade students at Pinewood Christian Academy became “junior meteorologists” as they presented weather experiments to their class. Mrs. Daniel and Mrs. DeLoach have been teaching their students about weather. They have been monitoring tropical storms, tropical depressions, and hurricanes in the forecast during class. At home, students had the responsibility of keeping a log of the daily forecast for local and national weather. Many different types of weather experiments were conducted as they demonstrated the shape of a tornado, modeled the eye of a hurricane and determined the causes thunder. Each student did an outstanding job on their project, and they all really enjoyed their day as a “junior meteorologist”.
