Region Cross Country Meet

On Wednesday, October 19th, our varsity cross country teams traveled to Trinity Christian Academy to compete in the GISA Region 2 meet. Pinewood girls were led by Rachel Jarriel, who finished with a time of 24:58. She was followed by Emily Griffin (25:00), Carsen Kennedy (25:28), Madeline Thompson (29:56), Sarah Whiten (30:42), Haley Thompson (33:10), Morgan Todd (33:16), and Michala Hobbs (41:17). The girls finished in 3rd place and advanced to the state competition.

One of our boys, Brantley Swindell (20:47), was an all-region runner. Following him was Jackson Godbee (21:52), William Collins (21:56), Haden Belding (23:41), Nicholas Strickland (24:39), Trey Kennedy (25:19), and Aaron Lyons (25:38). The boys finished in second place behind Trinity to earn the title of region runner up.
