Pinewood Students Learn about the Planets

Over the past weeks Miss Elizabeth Tatum’s sixth grade science class at Pinewood Christian Academy have been learning about the solar system and how it works. On Thursday, May 3, the students were given the opportunity to present a model of one of the original planets or to design a planet of their own. If the students chose to create their own planet, they had to take at least one characteristic from each of the eight planets. The students also had the choice of making a poster or a replica of their planet and then writing a report on it. All of the students enjoyed this educational and creative activity.
