Pinewood presents Ugandan Thunder
By: Hannah Rice, Cierra Kinlaw, Matalie Miles
Every Wednesday Pinewood students attend chapel service. Our chapel services may include guest speakers, student led devotions, concerts, as well as occasional student testimonies.
Chapel service this year was kicked off by the Ugandan Thunder Children’s Choir who came to share the word of God through song and dance. Ugandan Thunder is a group of orphans from Uganda who travel around the United States spreading the message of God’s love. The choir sang, danced, played the drums, and performed stunts. During their performance, choir members invited Milligan Williams to play drums and students from the audience to come down to the floor to dance. At the end of the service, the Ugandan children gave some of the students and teachers cross necklaces.
Pennies for Posho is a Christian organization that raises money to buy food known as posho for Ugandan orphans. At every performance, a love offering is taken up for this purpose.
PCA students were very thankful for the opportunity to experience such a heartfelt performance and we can’t wait until they come next year!
