Pinewood Juniors Present English Project
On Monday, December 14, the Junior Honors English class presented a project over “The Minister’s Black Veil” by Nathaniel Hawthorne. For the project, the students had to write a formal letter from the perspective of Reverend Hooper, the story’s main character, explaining why he wore his black veil; they also had to create an 11” by 14” movie poster for “The Minister’s Black Veil”, including the colors consistent with the time period and vivid wording. The students had to research how to write a proper formal letter, the proper diction for a Reverend, and the correct way to set up a movie poster.
